Abstract. The reasons that can affect the quality of the transmitted acoustic signal during the design and modeling of the underwater acoustic communication channel are considered. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the main problems in organizing an underwater acoustic communication system are surface waves, internal turbulence, changes in density, salinity, or water pressure, and many other small-scale phenomena. All of these lead to propagation delays, loss of information transmission, noise, multipath propagation, and relative Doppler bias.

Keywords: underwater acoustic communication channel; propagation delay; loss of information transmission; noises; multipath; Doppler effect.

Abstract. The model of channel formation presented in the paper allows to take into account the peculiarities of frequency planning in flexible optical networks when forming the total transmission rate between correspondent nodes. The interrelation between the involved spectral resource and nominal transmission rates in spectral channels formed on the basis of light paths is established. Variants of target functions are presented that allow, on the basis of the proposed model, to solve optimization problems aimed at minimizing the used spectral resource of the network under conditions of restrictions on the number of optical interfaces and the bandwidth of fiber-optic communication lines. Examples of formalized formulation and solution of optimization problems on the basis of the proposed model using methods of integer linear programming, dynamic programming, and derivative functions are given.

DOI: 10.34832/ELSV.2025.64.2.004

Abstract. The article presents a simplified methodology for the computation of queueing systems, obtained by proving the invariance of the Erlang distribution for a general kind of message service time distribution. The simplified recurrence formulas required for the computation of queueing systems with losses and with waiting and losses allow us to formalize the description of queueing systems, which can then be easily implemented in any computer algebra system. The proposed additional simplifications allow for an acceptable computation time of queueing systems with a controlled amount of computation error. The obtained results can be used for preliminary quality assessment of various variants of queueing systems.

Abstract. The article presents the results of a study on improving the efficiency of vision systems of ground-based robotic complexes. It is proposed to use the integration of optical and radar channel information at the solution level to increase the probability of correct classification of objects in the field of view of the vision system. Classification (recognition) of objects is performed in each of the channels independently, using a convolutional neural network. Obtaining a comprehensive assessment of the classification of objects is carried out according to the Shortliff scheme. The simulation results showed that the proposed algorithm makes it possible to increase the efficiency of the vision system of the robotic complex by 43% compared with using only the optical channel and by 38% compared with using only the radar channel.

Abstract. The article presents the results of field tests, including measurements of peak speed and network coverage for 5G NR in the 3400–3800 MHz and 6425–7125 MHz frequency bands. The tests include uplink and downlink scenarios under both line-of-sight (LOS) and non-line-of-sight (NLOS) conditions. In the 6425–7125 MHz band, four-carrier aggregation was tested, with each carrier having a bandwidth of 100 MHz, and peak throughput values were analyzed. The study compares coverage and data transfer speeds across the tested frequency bands. The findings provide insights into the feasibility of integrating the 6425–7125 MHz band into 5G/IMT-2020 infrastructure and its potential role in the evolution toward 6G/IMT-2030.

Abstract. The article is devoted to the issues of formation and analysis of polar modulation stereophonic broadcasting signals. Based on the information on the procedure for implementing polar modulation, it proposes an algorithm for restoring modulating dependencies, intended for estimating the quality of operation of devices that generate polar modulation signals. In Part II of the article, an algorithm for post-processing signals with polar modulation by samples is proposed; its characteristics are substantiated. The results of the software development of the algorithm, obtained on the basis of calculated values of samples of signals with polar modulation and confirming its effectiveness, are presented. Information is presented on the error that occurs when processing signals using the proposed algorithm.

Abstract. An algebraic code has been developed that allows for the correction of errors in direct and inverse values of the code set when performing arithmetic and logical operations of the processor. Rules have been formulated for grouping error syndrome bits into bits that determine: a block of information bits containing an error; and an erroneous bit in a 3-bit information block. The properties of the algebraic code that ensure the possibility of correcting single errors in information bits; and multiple errors in check bits. A decoding algorithm has been developed that forms the values of the error syndrome bits determining the address of the information block containing the error and the number of the erroneous bit in a three-bit information block; and ensuring the correction of multiple errors in check bits.

Keywords: algebraic code, additional code, information block, inversion operation.
